What is Epigenetics

Epigenetics is the study of how your internal and external environments change the expression of your genes.  At Advanced Thermography we can now use scientific testing to determine what we have known for a long time – that you can optimize your diet, behavior and environment to move your body and mind to new levels.

So once we have the information obtained from our genetic testing and we understand our potential weakness and strengths we can then assess our health picture as it stands today.  We may have inherited our mother and fathers genes, but we don not have to live the same life as them.  We don’t necessarily eat the same foods, drink the same water, work the same jobs, partake in the same social activities (smoking and drinking) or lifestyle choices.  So our gene expression will be different.  And how can we measure how our genes are expressing themselves based on our choices? Epigenetics promises to help crack the code behind increased obesity, cancer rates, and other wide spread degenerative diseases, but that is just for starters. By changing our environment, we can literally switch on or off genes that make us either more or less our best selves.
